Welcome to VistaCare’s Austin, Texas web site.

We are the gateway for end of life care to the Hill Country. We are committed to providing excellent care to patients and their families in Travis, Williamson, Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Hays, Lee and Llano counties.

We offer a wide range of supportive services to patients who have a life-limiting illness as well as their families. Our staff not only treats physical pain and symptoms, but also provides emotional, social, and spiritual support for the individual and their loved ones. We also work collaboratively with area and rural physicians, clinicians, hospitals, and long term facilities. VistaCare is unique in that we believe in providing Comprehensive Care to everyone who may need our services. This means that we strive to provide care to all eligible patients and their families, regardless of the complexity of their care needs. For example, we do not requiring a full-time caregiver or a D.N.R. order. At VistaCare we believe there should be no barriers for eligible patients to receive end of life care. We want to make sure each eligible patient receives the gift of hospice. This is how hospice should be!

We are excited to announce the addition of Robert A. Friedman, MD to our team. These topics vary from preventative health maintenance to end-of-life and hospice issues. In 2005, Dr. Friedman chose to devote himself to Hospice as a full-time Medical Director. He enjoys spending time with patients and their families. As an active team member, he is committed to providing hands-on care in the home setting, applying the principles and practice of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
