Teri Scott
Executive Director Welcome! If your family has ever experienced hospice care, you know what a wonderful offering hospice can be during a time of need. As Executive Director of the San Angelo VistaCare site, I have learned just how special the gift of hospice is. Let me share what I have found to be distinctive about VistaCare: We're there for you whether it's at home or in the hospital. Wherever you call home - that's where we will care for you. We're there for you whenever you need us - day or night, weekday, weekend, or holiday. We know there is never a good time to become ill, so we make a commitment to be there when you need us, no matter what. We're there for all of your family. We provide resources, spiritual support, assistance from volunteers, and bereavement counseling. Life is valuable to the very end, and we're there to help our patients live as comfortably as possible. We will work to alleviate pain without impairing mental alertness so that families and their loved ones can enjoy each day they have together. For some, VistaCare has led to a road of relief from certain conditions. We provide such thorough treatment that a number of patients have improved while under our care and lived much longer than expected. We provide care without posing restrictions on our patients. We have a Comprehensive Care philosophy, which means we do not require patients to give up on their other medical treatment, sign a do-no-resuscitate order, or have a caretaker on hand. We're there for you, to help find available resources, regardless of your financial situation. Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance companies provide a hospice benefit to cover the costs of care. However, our social workers work to locate funding resources for all patients regardless of their ability to pay for services. VistaCare is hospice in every sense of the word. We know that families have choices when deciding whom to turn to in a time of need. Please help me spread the story of VistaCare by sharing this information with others. And feel free to call me if you would like further information. Sincerely, |
